Reserves excited ahead of this weekends league clash.
This Saturday the reserves head into Sunderland as they take on Hylton Sports Club FC in a TWR Wearside League Division Two clash.
Manager Cameron Thompson says the reserves are chomping at the bit to get going, despite no win in 3.
“ it hasn’t been easy, and last weeks game really took a hit on us.
However, this week management, coaching staff and the squad have re-evaluated our situation, made a few tweeks to team performance and individual performances and the lads feel confident.
The belief is back, and training this week has been outstanding. All wanting their name on that squad list. All wanting to put the wrongs, right.
The league table doesn’t lie, and the position we are currently in isn’t good enough. But I know we have the character and most importantly the talent to turn it around and get back to hitting our targets”
One player itching to get going again, is midfielder Dan Simpson. Who is now available after his suspension. Also available is another midfielder in Gisel Gil who has returned from his leave.
Manager Thompson is excited by the return of both players and has stated they have added huge competition into the squad selection for this weekend.
The reserves are the underdogs in this clash, as Hylton currently occupy 4th place. However, have only played 4 league games this campaign.
Three wins and 1 defeat us currently what separates them from top spot.
