Durham City AFC Reserves are delighted to announce the signing of goalkeeper Andy Ebdale.
The 27 year old joins the reserves after a extensive trail period.
The stopper currently plays with Sunderland Sunday league side, Washington Sky Lounge in the premier league and has recently played for Shotton comrades .
Following his move to The reserves Ebdale said: “I’m really happy to sign for the club and looking forward to the challenge. The vibes around the club are ambitious and positive and I’m hoping I can contribute to that”.
Cameron Thompson concluded: “Another goalkeeper has been on our radar for a while, so I’m delighted we were able to finalise this and bring a keeper to the football club. It’s great to have multiple options in one position. It pushes people that little bit extra to work harder and hold down their position in the team. Ebdale is an experienced player with over 8 years of senior football under his belt, and throughout his career he has demonstrated quality, maturity and leadership.
I’m confident he will thrive under the pressure that comes with playing for Durham City AFC and become an even better player in the process
